Plan Your Visit

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE
SERVICE?

There are no reserved seats; sit where you are most comfortable. You will have more available options 5-10 minutes before the beginning of the service. We do have ushers who will be happy to assist you find a seat if needed.

We will sing a number of songs. Some people like to raise their hands during this time - it’s just their way of worshipping God.  We usually stand up to sing, but you can remain seated if you wish.

We normally have a time of open-prayer. This gives people in the church the chance to pray out-loud. Don’t worry, you will not be asked to or expected to do this unless you wish to. Most people usually remain seated when we pray but standing up is great too. We don’t usually kneel, but you may do so if you wish.

We occasionally share in the Lord's Supper (Communion).
According to the Bible, we partake of Communion in remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus that was broken and poured out at the cross. It does not only remind us of His suffering but also shows us the amount of love Jesus had for us.  However to be able to share in the Lord's supper one must be born again. In other words, a person must have gone through a self-examination, repentance, and confession. It's perfectly fine to let the emblems pass by if you don't feel comfortable to share yet.

Someone will then get up to preach / deliver the message. Normally they will read from the Bible, and then spend time explaining the passage and how it applies to people’s lives.

Once the service finishes, tea and coffee are served in the diner next door (free of charge). We welcome you to stay and meet some of the people in the community!

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

We have a creche space available for young babies and toddlers (CPC Littles). The service is shown on a screen and there are toys for the little ones to enjoy.

The older children would normally stay in the service for the worship part and then go out to CPC KIDS (4-8 yrs), CPC WARRIORS (9-13 yrs), or THE FAITH LINE (14-17 yrs) during the sermon. During that time children learn about faith and how to relate to God in a way they can understand and is fun and suitable for their ages.

All of the volunteers working with children have been DBS checked and safeguarding practices are observed.
