About Us

A brief history of Carlton Pentecostal Church, where we've come from, and where we are going...

Carlton Pentecostal Church began in Conway Hall on Conway Road in Carlton, 1935. It had a large Sunday School and soon began to outgrow the building. The land where the present church stands came up for sale in 1950. It was then purchased and the first service at this location commenced on the 20th of January 1952.

The church continued to grow and expand and the premises adjacent to the church building and later the Regal Cinema were purchased, becoming the present church along with a day nursery and a diner.

The church runs a charity shop which funds many of our community projects including our Saturday Morning Children's Cinema.

Today, we welcome you to come along to our services where you can expect live contemporary along with traditional music and a practical message that aims to help you deal with real life issues.

We want to be able to say that what we talked about at the weekend gave you something that could help you on Monday: in your family, at your work, with your life. We are not about religion but about a real and meaningful relationship with God. It’s not about pretending that we’re perfect, it’s about a God who is causing us to grow.

We have opportunities for each member of your household to enjoy church as they encounter God through the Bible and other people just like you.

We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment and we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn about GOD. Young Sunday School (ages 4-10) and Youth (school years 7-11) are available during the Sermon part of our Sunday services, providing a safe and fun environment.
